Don't want your information published on Spoke?

Because Spoke is constantly getting information from publicly available sources and from our members, we sometimes publish information about people who prefer that we didn't. We respect that and have worked very hard to make it easy to suppress this information. Here's how:

  1. The fastest way right now is register and suppress the information yourself. Once you log in, just set your Profile display preferences in the 'My Spoke' portion of the Spoke member site.

  2. If you haven't registered with us just click here and fill out the form. We will suppress your information from display our online, public-facing Directory and our members-only Service. We will answer your request as fast as we can.

FYI, Spoke retains some identification information in the Spoke database after receiving a suppression request ONLY so we can maintain an effective opt-out list to prevent the republication of this information.

  1. Spoke has made up a FAKE PAGE with me working at a company which I DO NOT AND NEVER HAVE WORKED! Apparently, this is ALL made up since there has never been any information ANYWHERE about my working at this company! This fake page has damaged my reputation as an executive director of a nonprofit org -- my ONLY association with "work."

Does Spoke need clients so badly that they have to make up fake bios/workplaces for people who have NO background info that leads to such placement on all search engines?

I have notified Spoke often to remove my page from all search engines. They refuse, and Google says that all that is necessary is for the webmaster to ask for the removal. Spoke is committing a felony: revealing false information about me to the public and into the ether where it cannot be removed. I will pursue my own measures by advertising that Spoke is a FAKE ORGANIZATION.

  2. I want the information published about me removed. I did not submit it or authorize it. The information is printed as part of copyrighted publications and should not be used without my permission. The information is old and outdated. I have requested that this information be removed using the other methods, but want to be sure that you all get this message loud and clear. Removed my name and information. I do not want to see my information published on your site.

  3. I want this information removed immediately. I did not authorize it and have requested this information be removed. I do not wish to have my name associated with this site and the information published was taken from a copyrighted book written by me. This information should be removed immediately unless you want the name of your organization to be used without your permission.

  5. I claimed my profile and changed the information to private, but Spoke just created another profile for me and kept my previous information public. The claim that users can easily suppress their information on Spoke is a blatant lie. Spoke has purposely made it incredibly difficult to suppress a profile even if you follow all the steps.

  7. Apparently Spoke is publishing information from its criminal members, such as Logan Rudd, who is claiming to be the CEO of our company. There are eight other individuals listed at Spoke as being our employees. None of them work for us nor have they ever been associated in any way with our business. We never asked to be a part of your network and we emphatically object to you associating nine total strangers with our business. When we ask you to correct this problem and remove our company from your site you don't respond. Will it take contact from an attorney to get your attention? Don't you check out any of this information before you post it and give legitimacy to these criminals?
